My name is Michael Trienis, and I have been involved with optimization since my undergraduate degree in computer science ( with a minor in mathematics) at the University of British Columbia – Okanangan (UBCO). I went on to complete my master’s degree in 2007 . My studies focused mainly on numerical optimization and numerical analysis where I learned to design and develop efficient algorithms. These algorithms were implemented using Scilab (a matlab clone) and Maple software. Additional information on my graduate studies can be found in my resume.
I’m a highly motivated computer scientist and mathematician. I enjoy solving complicated problems using unorthodox methods. I am a currently looking for employment in the field of software engineering or education. I am team player but also posses the ability to work independently.
